With tonight’s SmackDown LIVE being the shows 1000th episode, fans have been speculating for weeks what surprises WWE might have in store for us on this special anniversary show.
It has already been announced that tonight’s SmackDown 1000 will see the return of Batista as part of a big Evolution reunion alongside Randy Orton and Triple H. Also announced for the show is a special appearance from WWE Hall of Famer Edge, as well as The Undertaker. Despite an already jam packed show, many fans have wondered if we could expect to see any surprise main roster call-ups from NXT.
The topic of NXT call-ups was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, and Bryan Alvarez noted that we probably will not see any NXT call-ups tonight on SmackDown 1000. He points out that the show already has appearances from Batista & Evolution, Edge, and The Undertaker as well as many other SmackDown alumni to work into a two-hour broadcast, so the odds of seeing any NXT call-ups such as Aleister Black isn’t very likely.
