WWE Reported To Be Working On Back-Up Plan Incase Upcoming Crown Jewel Event Is Cancelled

As we reported earlier, WWE has been under a lot of fire lately or their relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in wake of the apparent murder of US resident and Washington Post Journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Numerous members of the United States Senate went on record urging WWE to pause their relationship with The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, some even called for WWE to pull out of their upcoming Crown Jewel event.

The topic was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, and it was reported that the working idea backstage in WWE is that if the company has to cancel the event, then the plan is to move all of the matches except for the World Cup Tournament, to the Survivor Series PPV instead.

Co-host Bryan Alvarez also went on to speculate that he doesn’t think at this point that WWE will hold the event in Saudi Arabia as planned. We will have to wait and see exactly what WWE decides to do, it should be noted that WWE shared a video on their Twitter account this afternoon hours after the report of US Senators speaking out against them, highlighting and taking a further look at the upcoming Crown Jewel event scheduled for November 2nd in Saudi Arabia.
