Smackdown Recap for September 11th, 2018

(Segment 1) Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura: This was a good way to start the night with some good action. This match got a good 20 mintues. It was an ok match with decent action, it wasn’t over the top because we’ve seen it before. Orton ending up pushing Hardy off the top rope when he was going for the Swanton Bomb. That caused Jeff to win via DQ.

(Segment 2) AJ Styles Addresses Samoa Joe

(Segment 3) Charlotte Flair vs Sonya Deville: This was a very boring match and wasn’t good at all. It was very slow paced and killed the show. Charlotte made Deville tap out.

(Segment 4) Rusev Day vs The Bar: This is the first time these two teams have faced each other so I expected some new stuff. The winner of this match would face The New Day at Hell In A Cell for the Smackdown Live Tag Titles. Rusev Day picked up the win and will challenge for the titles.

(Segment 5) R-Truth vs Andrades ‘Cien’ Almas: Almas won a very quick match via roll up, this had nothing to it.

(Segment 6) Brie Bella vs Maryse: This was a very boring main event and really didn’t help this episode. WWE isn’t in a great position right now.

Overall Smackdown Live Grade: C
