As we saw at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch turned on Charlotte following their Triple Threat Match for the SmackDown LIVE Women’s Title.
The following night at a WWE Live event Becky continued her heel turn by attacking Charlotte from behind following her match with Carmella. On this week’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, Becky Lynch continued the heel turn, when she cut an in-ring promo explaining her actions.
Many fans have been vocal online about Becky’s turn at SummerSlam, and apparently many still don’t feel that she actually has turned heel. As we saw the crowd really behind Becky at SummerSlam following her attack.
WWE Producer the Road Dogg Brian James responded to a fan’s tweet who was critical over the way WWE is telling Becky Lynch’s story.

It’s funny, this “revolt” is exactly what Becky’s character is saying, I didn’t get my way and now I’m mad about it. And make no mistake, I’m talking about her “character” not the person. The person did an interview, the character did a promo!
