Fellow Inmate Charged With Stealing Brian Christopher Lawler’s Identity Following His Passing

WMC Action News in Memphis, Tennessee is reporting that the identity of former WWE Superstar Brian Christopher, son of Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawyer, had been stolen by another inmate in the Hardeman County Jail.

According to their report, fellow inmate Danterriaus Jones has been accused of using Brian Christopher’s social security number. Jones had been using Christophers SSN to make phone calls from jail after Brian Christopher’s passing. However, Michael Floyd, Lawyer for Danterriaus Jones, believes that the charges do not add up.

Regarding the charges against his client Floyd said:

“It’s my understanding, he wanted his parents to come see about him. I think it’s really strange.”

In a report from the website WrestlingNews.co, they add that Jones was actually in the cell next to Brian Christopher, and that a fight broke out hours before Brian reportedly took his own life in his cell. They go on to add that the affidavit, Brian Christopher Lawler gave Danterriaus Jones his PIN number, Social Security Number, and his mother’s phone number because he wanted Jones to call his mother and let her know about the fight and that he had suffered a concussion. It was also added that the reason Jones was asked to call Lawler’s mother was because he wanted her to contact his dad, Jerry “The King” Lawler and let him know what had happened.

The report continues by stating that Danterriaus Jones allegedly make phone calls to his own family several times over the course of the last few weeks since Brian Christopher was reportedly found hanging in his cell after attempting to take his own life.

Attorney for the Lawler family, Ted Hansom also commented on the situation. Hansom said:

“Certainly not Brian Lawler as to the heirs of Brian Lawler, it doesn’t indicate any of them asserted a claim.”

Hansom continued by adding that, the charges against Jones could be seen as intimidation and that the affidavit states that using Brian Christopher Lawler’s numbers without lawful authority was an attempt to deprive Brian Christopher’s Estate of it’s property. Hansom went on to say:

“We’ve also received information from various sources there here have been attempts to intimidate any potential witnesses to what occurred or did not occur.”

Jerry “The King” Lawler has gone on record as saying that he does not believe that his son’s death was done by his own hands. Lawler and some others believe that there is more to the story than has been made public. Which seemingly appears to be the case as more and more information continues to slowly come out supporting their therory.
