Talk Of Injured WWE Superstars Matt Hardy & Jason Jordan Transitioning To Backstage Roles?

As has been reported over the last few weeks, WWE Superstar Matt Hardy revealed he has been dealing with a rather serious and unusual injury, where doctors have told him that his spine/lower back has began to fuse with his tailbone. Hardy recently dropped the RAW Tag Team Titles along with his partner Bray Wyatt, and following the match he posted a tweet thanking Wyatt for all he had done for him in his career and that he would miss him. This of course added more fuel to the fire regarding rumors that Hardy is retiring.

Now there appears to be some more talk that Hardy’s in-ring career is winding down. There is now some talk that Hardy could be transitioning into a backstage role within WWE.

In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Matt Hardy is still dealing with his injuries and will need to take time off because of the injury to his lower-back and tailbone. There has also been talk of Matt shadowing WWE Producers so he can “learn the ropes”.

In the meantime, it has been reported that Hardy will be evaluated for his injuries and begin receiving treatment and recovery. Once more is known regarding his condition a decision will be made about his wrestling future, depending on whether or not he will be cleared for action. Once evaluated they will decide what kid of workload he will be able to handle.

There was also a report that injured WWE Superstar Jason Jordan is receiving similar treatment backstage currently as he is dealing with a neck injury which required surgery months ago. It appears as though Jordan’s neck has not healed the way it was supposed too for unknown reasons, therefor leaving his in-ring future up in the air resulting in him also potentially transitioning into a backstage role with the company.
