Why Didn’t The Announce Team Mention The Location Of Last Night’s RAW On The Air?

Last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW was held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and many have noted that the announce team did not mention the location of the event at all during the broadcast.

WWE’s failure to identify the location of last night’s RAW was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer pointed out that WWE often times uses varying techniques when the host city for the program isn’t a recognizable location.

Regarding the failure of the RAW Announce Team to identify the location of last night’s event, Meltzer said:

“Sometimes they’ll if the city isn’t impressive enough they’ll say they’re at a college, right? But this time since they weren’t at a college I don’t think they even said the state. The only thing I remember I think they said they were in the central time zone because they showed there was still light out and they said they’re in the central time zone.”
