Backstage News On Matt Cappotelli’s Potential WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

As you may know, former WWE Tough Enough competitor Matt Cappotelli recently passed away after finally losing his battle with brain cancer.

Our friends at Ringsidenews reported earlier today, and then confirmed by Mike Johnson via an audio update on PWInsider Elite, that Cappotelli is already being considered by WWE or next year’s WWE Hall of Fame Class as the recipient of the Warrior Award.

Regarding Cappotelli potentially being honored with next year’s Warrior Award, Johnson said:

“There has been people in private conversations say “hey, we should have him be awarded the Warrior Award next year.” I don’t know if it’s actually anything that will build up to anything but we’ll see. They did mention to me that there have been discussions in their circle how Cappatelli should be honored with The Warrior Award. I’m all for it. I think it’s a cool idea. I think it would be a positive way to remind everyone of a fighter he was. What a warrior he was and to raise some awareness to brain cancer.”
