Taz Reveals Why He Think’s WWE Pulled Rusev From The Casket Match Against The Undertaker

Former ECW Original, Impact Wrestling Star, and WWE Superstar Taz discussed the situation that unfolded last week regarding Rusev, the announcement of his casket match with The Undertaker at The Greatest Royal Rumble, then tweet, the announcement by WWE that Rusev had been pulled from the match and replaced by Chris Jericho on the latest episode of The Taz Show.

Taz shared his thoughts on WWE’s decision to remove Rusev from the match, and what he thinks may have been the reason behind the move. Regarding Rusev’s replaced by Chris Jericho in the Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble, Taz said:

“I was surprised that Rusev tweeted this because he’s worked there long enough. I’m not surprised if, maybe, this is just me speculating… just maybe it’s a situation where WWE got ticked off by his tweet. Basically saying, ‘Well, what is that?’ Basically stooging off that you’re gonna lose the match. You’re basically saying, you know, bury me softly, it’s a Casket Match, so you’re basically saying that you’re doing the job. I can see [WWE] getting ticked off from that. Yeah, I mean, everybody and their mother probably knows that no one’s beating The Undertaker right now, and that’s no disrespect to Rusev, but you know it’s just not gonna happen. But still I got a funny feeling that [the tweet] might have ticked them off.”

In case you didn’t see the tweet that Taz is talking about that Rusev posted regarding the original announcement for the casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble below:

Taz went on to discuss Chris Jericho as the opponent for The Undertaker in the casket match instead of Rusev, and said that he thinks it will end up being a good match either way.
