John Cena Reportedly Grew Cold Feet As Wedding Date Drew Near – Nikki Bella Left Heartbroken

As was reported yesterday John Cena and Nikki Bella have ended their engagement and their six year relationship as the two officially announced their split.

As you may recall John Cena proposed to Nikki Bella following their mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 33 during an in ring segment as part of the show. The two were set to get married on May 5th of this year in Mexico.

People Magazine published an article today discussing the couples sudden break up over the weekend, and a source “close to the situation” revealed Nikki Bella is said to be “heartbroken” and that Cena never should have proposed to her, let alone in front of millions of people. The reported went on to add that Cena “ruined it and blew everything up”.

The report also revealed that John Cena was apparently starting to get really cold feet as their wedding date drew closer.

Regarding the break up of John Cena and Nikki Bella, a source close to the situation stated:

“She never gave him an ultimatum. He talked a really good game about having changed, about having his priorities straight, about knowing what’s important, and that it was her. But as the day got closer, it was like he just went back to who he’s always been — which is someone who puts himself first, always. He’s an incredibly dedicated, driven, ambitious guy. And for the longest time he said he didn’t think he had room in his life for a spouse or kids. It seems like in the end that was still the truth.”
