EXCLUSIVE: Steve Austin Declines WWE’s Offer To Participate In Greatest Royal Rumble

It has been mentioned often over the last couple months that Vince McMahon and WWE are considering the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble event from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as an “all hands on deck” show.

WWE has pulled out all the stops, with announcements of a Casket Match between The Undertaker and Rusev, as well as WWE returns for Chris Jericho, and Rey Mysterio.

In a Bodyslam.net exclusive, our own Brad Shepard is reporting that WWE reached out to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and made him an offer for him to appear in Jeddah on April 27th, at the Greatest Royal Rumble event… and that Steve Austin declined the company’s offer.

Regarding Steve Austin turning down WWE’s offer to appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble, Shepard said:

“A source in WWE told me that the Saudi show is a big, big deal to Vince and there is no short-selling that. He isn’t flying every upper level talent he can find to Saudi Arabia without good reason (that 10-year deal being quite a good reason). They are throwing everything including the kitchen sink at it. They wanted Austin to show up too, but he declined.”
