Former WWE Superstar Rich Swann Comes Out Of Retirement – Appears As Surprise Entrant In CZW’s Best of the Best 17

Former WWE Superstar Rich Swann has officially came out of retirement and returned to professional wrestling.

The Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion made his first pro wrestling appearance since being fired from WWE following the incident involving his wife, fellow wrestler Su Yung, which resulted in Swann being arrested for domestic violence and false imprisonment. The charges were eventually dropped and Swann was cleared of any wrongdoing, however WWE still made the decision to part ways with the former champion.

Following his release from the WWE, Rich Swann had taken several independent bookings and seemed to be ready to get back into the read following the allegations which led to his eventual termination, only to announce that he had decided to retire from professional wrestling. His retirement seemed to stem from the stigma he feared that would follow him around following his arrest and allegations of domestic violence & false imprisonment.

However, all that has changed. Tonight at CZW’s Best of the Best 17, Rich Swann made his return to the sport, coming out of retirement and was announced as a surprise entrant into this years Best of the Best Tournament.
