Rusev Removes All References To WWE From His Twitter – Changes Social Media Handles

As has was reported yesterday, WWE Superstar Rusev was removed from his advertised Casket Match against The Undertaker at the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27th and replaced by Chris Jericho.

Following the news of his removal from the Casket Match against The Undertaker, Rusev changed his handle on his Instagram account to reflect his real name, and included an email address where you can send inquiries for booking info.

This led to a lot of speculation regarding Rusev’s status with WWE. Reports then began to come out yesterday saying that Rusev had once again asked for his release from the company. It was reported last month that Rusev was unhappy with his role in the company and had asked for his release before being place into the United States Championship Match at WrestleMania and had been given what appeared to be a mild push.

To further add mystery to the situation Rusev has removed all references to WWE from his official twitter account, and changed his profile picture to promote his upcoming movie release “Other Versions Of You” which also stars his wife and fellow WWE Superstar Lana. Rusev has apparently unfollowed WWE’s twitter account as well, but still is following other wrestling promotions like New Japan Pro Wrestling.

We will keep you updated as this story continues to develop.
