Floyd Mayweather Vs. Conor McGregor 2 Announced – Will Take Place Inside Octagon Under Modified Rules

It was announced today that Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will fight again… this time inside an octagon, but under highly modified rules.

According to Omar Al Raisi, editor in chief of The Sports Journal, Dubai’s largest sporting news outlet, who referenced sources, the fight will take place in the Octagon with modified rules. The fight will will be fought with 4 ounce gloves, no shoes, 5-five minute rounds in 155 lb weight division. There will be no kicks, no takedowns, no elbows, no knees and only certain things will be allowed like the clinch.

The fight will be co-promoted by Mayweather Promotions, UFC and McGregor Entertainment.

It is also being said that the fight was going to be announced Thursday during the UFC 223 press conference as well as the announcement that Conor McGregor had re-signed with the UFC, but the announcement was postponed following the incident that ensued with McGregor’s tyrade which resulted in him throwing a hand truck through the window of a UFC bus full of fighters and personalities.
