Charlotte Pulled From Tonight’s SmackDown LIVE Tapings Due To Injury

WWE SmackDown LIVE Women’s Champion Charlotte pulled from tonight’s SmackDown LIVE tapings.

WWE has announced that Charlotte Flair will unable to compete in tonight’s WWE Mixed Match Challenge, and that the WWE Universe will vote as to who will replace her as Bobby Roode’s tag team partner.

Fans will vote in a “Second Chance Fan Vote” to determine who will team with Bobby Roode to face Finn Balor and Sasha Banks on tonight’s episode of WWE Mixed Match Challenge. The choices fans have to pick from include Becky Lynch, Carmella, and Lana as replacements for Charlotte.

There were no details included in the announcement elaborating as to what type of injury Charlotte Flair suffered that has caused her to be pulled from tonight’s SmackDown Live & Mixed Match Challenge tapings. Charlotte was scheduled to face Natalya on tonight’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, but it now appears as though that match has been cancelled as well.

It was noted that Charlotte did not work this past weekend’s set of SmackDown Branded WWE Live Events, which would indicate that the injury is legitimate and not part of a storyline.

Charlotte’s last match was on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown LIVE when she wrestled Natalya. She is still scheduled to face Asuka for the WWE SmackDown LIVE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34.

We will keep you updated when more information regarding Charlotte Flair’s injury becomes available.
