What Does Paul Heyman’s Future Hold If Brock Lesnar Leaves WWE?

There has been a lot of speculation of as late as to what the future holds for Paul Heyman if Brock Lesnar decides to leave WWE for the UFC once his contract expires.

Right now the belief is that Paul Heyman may not want go back to working a heavier schedule appearing on weekly WWE TV if the company decides to pair him with another Superstar. Brock Lesnar’s deal with WWE was perfect for Paul Heyman because it allowed him to work a lighter schedule giving him a significant amount of time off. There has been rumors of possibly pairing Heyman up with Ronda Rousey if Lesnar decides to leave, however it remains to be seen if WWE would want to place Heyman into a program with Stephanie McMahon being that the company has kept them apart in the past.

It has been previously reported on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer that WWE is booking the Rousey/Stephanie & Triple H program as a modern day version of the classic “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon feud, where the babyface will be getting the better of the heel for most of the programs duration. With that in mind, Heyman would not be a good fit for this storyline. The feeling here is that Heyman’s long and witty promos would take the spotlight off of Ronda Rousey and possibly make him appear to be “smarter” than a McMahon, which is very unlikely to happen.
