Possible Reasons Brock Lesnar No-Showed Last Night’s RAW

As seen on last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was scheduled to have a faceoff against challenger Roman Reigns, but that never happened as Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman apparently no-showed last night’s event. The first and second drafts of last night’s script included Lesnar for the show, and his absence was addressed during an in-ring promo by Roman Reigns.

PWInsider is reporting that the original plan was for there to be a lengthy back-and-forth promo between Lesnar, Heyman, and Reigns. That segment was set to kick off the second hour of RAW, and Lesnar was apparently supposed to call Reigns a “bitch”.

Neither Paul Heyman nor Brock Lesnar were in Anaheim on Monday, but it is known that Lesnar was in Las Vegas on Sunday where he met with UFC President Dana White. White tweeted out a photo of himself and Lesnar, who was wearing a UFC shirt, about five minutes into the start of Sunday’s Elimination Chamber PPV. It is being said that Lesnar never visited the venue for the Elimination Chamber which was nearby.

There is a possibility that Brock Lesnar decided to no-show last night’s RAW as a hard play in his negotiations with WWE, as his contract is set to expire sometime shortly after WrestleMania 34. WWE may have also been upset with Lesnar over the meeting with Dana White and the photo posted to social media. Both of these theories are merely speculation at this point.

Lesnar is booked for this Sunday’s WWE Live Event in Chicago, Illinois where he is scheduled to face Kane. Lesnar is also booked to return to WWE TV at the March 12th episode of RAW from Detroit. WWE addressed Lesnar’s absence by saying that they reached out to Paul Heyman for comments but he offered none.
