Details on how much UFC & WWE pay to fighters/wrestlers

From Dave Meltzer’s Newsletter (subscription required):

John Nash at Bloody Elbow in going through some expert testimony in the class action lawsuit against Zuffa for monopolistic practices noted that in 2016 it was estimated that UFC grossed about $700 million and paid about $119 million total in fighter payments, or 17 percent.
During 2016, WWE grossed $729 million and the estimate is that it paid about $60 million of that, or about eight percent to the wrestlers.

F-NYC take:
UFC fighter pay grew from 13% to 17% in 2016.
That is about 39 million more in total or about 50% more than the estimated $80 million in 2015.
As far as WWE paying only 8%, they make far less profit than UFC does, but still that is minuscule.
Incredible job by John Nash
