WWE Sends Out Open Casting Call To Professional Football Players For Future Tryout

WWE has a history of looking for potential Superstars who are professional athletes in other sports, and it appears that they are once again looking for talent outside the wrestling business.

According to the latest issues of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE recently sent out a casting call for former professional football players to attend a tryout at the WWE Performance Center.

It is believed that the tryout will take place sometime in April, and that WWE is looking for Pro Football Players who have not retired, meaning currently playing and are not under contract to any team.

The reasoning and idea being pitched for the recent casting call, is that WWE Superstars like Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Titus O’Neil all had a football background prior to signing with WWE. Interesting enough the report didn’t mention WWE Superstars Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley who also have a strong background in football.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about WWE’s casting call for pro football players and the reported April tryout.
