WWE’s longest title reign belongs to Bruno Sammartino as he held onto the belt for 2,803 days… well, according to WWE Superstar Zack Ryder he has surpassed the record held by Sammartino as he announced earlier today that he is now the longest reigning champion in WWE history.
Zack Ryder crowned himself the Internet Champion on April 28th, 2011, and still “holds” the title today. Today marked Ryder’s 2,804th day as the Internet Champion, as he took to twitter to announce his “milestone”. Ryder posted a photo of himself and his Internet Championship on his twitter account along with the caption, “I became the Internet Champion on April 28, 2011. That was 2,804 days ago. Therefore I am the longest reigning champion in @WWE history! 😉 I love you all! #StillHere”.
