Raw Recap For December 17th, 2018

(Segment 1) McMahon Family Kicks Off Raw: Vince, Stephanie, Shane, and HHH announced that they will be overlooking both Raw and Smackdown Live. The four of them surprisingly confessed to the product being bad.  They needed to come face to face with the fact the company sucks and they did. They said there will be new faces, new match ups, and more of what the fans want. Baron Corbin then came out and got heavily booed by the crowd. The McMahon’s said he will face Kurt Angle and if he wins then he gets his job back.

(Segment 2) Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin: Heath Slater was announced as the special guest referee for this match. This was not how the match ended. HHH came out right after the match started and said it would be a handicap match with Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, and Apollo Crews joining Angle. Shane then came out a little bit after HHH and said the match was a No DQ match. Angle and his friends won the match.

(Segment 3) Finn Balor vs Dolph Ziggler: I was looking forward to this match but it was cut short after Drew McIntyre got involved and the match ended in DQ. We will be seeing these three in a triple threat very soon, most likely next week. These three could put on some great matches, I just hope it is not every week we see the same 3 guys going against each other.

(Segment 4) Dean Ambrose vs Tyler Breeze (IC Title): Dean issued an open challenge when Seth Rollins did not answer his challenge. I am happy that Breeze is finally getting his chance, this is a good step in the direction for the show. Dean Ambrose retained his title in a fairly quick match, I am still glad Breeze got a shot and is getting on TV more.

(Segment 5)  Lucha House Party vs AOP vs B-Team vs Revival (Number One Contender’s Match For The Raw Tag Titles): The winner of this fatal four way will get a title shot against Roode and Gabke for the tag titles. The Revival won the match and earned in very much. Their matches with Roode and Gable will be fun.

(Segment 6)  Gauntlet Match (Number One Contender’s Match For The Raw Women’s Title): Natalya won this match, which was the main event of the night. This means she will face Ronda Rousey next week for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Overall Raw Grade: B
