What started with a simple tweet from Jimmy Jacobs about filling in for Brutus Beefcake. Turned into a war of words between promoter Danny Duggan and The Barber. We have been covering this story extensively, giving both sides to the story.
Earlier today Brutus posted a long post on Facebook about his take on the events and went on Justin Credible’s podcast to further his side of the story. After both the post and podcast, Danny Duggan has responded.
First he shared former talents sticking up for him.
In the midst of the Brutus bs he called into question the integrity of our tours to try & deflect stealing money & no showing dates. I don’t want to bring any more negativity to the situation. All I want to say is this. I have worked for @CWECanada & @HotshotDannyD on & off for over 8 years. It’s been one of my favorite places to work. I’ve always been treated great & I can’t wait to go back.

Then he responded to fans directly.
I spoke w/@EBischoff briefly in Tower, MN at an event this summer. I asked him what I had in store booking Brutus & he looked me in the eye & said “good luck”. When I asked him to elaborate he repeated “all I have to say is good luck”. His face said it all.

@jaycon86 I’d absolutely love the opportunity to rebut anything Mr. Beefcake has to say. Based on his online statement he is literally making things up out of thin air. In statements I’ve made be more than happy to provide evidence to dispute it, something he has failed to do 🙂

Literally just making stuff up out of thin air.. says I didn’t answer my phone even though I detailed the entire phone call & situation. Furthermore he said the door like locked from the inside, that’s how he knew someone was in there, not a naked dude.

AND he complains about that hotel although he begged to be back at that specific hotel for the 2 nights were there. And a blown tire? Welcome to life. It happens.
