Ronda Rousey Reportedly Upset With Crowd At Survivor Series Following Her Match With Charlotte

As we saw at last night’s WWE Survivor Series PPV, the match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair resulted in a DQ finish after Charlotte snapped and grabbed a kendo stick and began to brutally attack Ronda Rousey with it.

Charlotte’s apparent heel turn and vicious attack on Ronda Rousey seemingly turned the crowd onto her side as well, as the fans began to chant “you deserve it” towards Ronda Rousey as the attack from Charlotte continued. Following the match, NXT Women’s champion Shayna Baszler posted a message on her twitter account which appeared to be in reference to the way that the WWE fans turned on Rousey at Survivor Series, Baszler tweeted about how MMA fans were more fickle that WWE fans.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the incident with Ronda Rousey and the fans turning on her, and he mentions that Rousey might have legit been upset with the crowd last night for turning on her when they weren’t supposed to.

Regarding last night’s reaction from the LA crowd directed at Ronda Rousey, Meltzer said:

“Ronda looked furious leaving as far as with the crowd. She took a horrible beating and then they just turned on her something fierce which is the opposite of what everything was done for and she didn’t look happy about that at all. She’s had a love affair with pro wrestling and the pro wrestling fans because she perceives that the pro wrestling fans have stuck by her where you know even though in MMA in most cases she was cheered and the only time I can remember her being booed in MMA is when she wouldn’t shake Miesha Tate’s hand.”
