Velveteen Dream was scheduled to face Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: WarGames. So for the event, he came dressed as none other than Hulk Hogan. It was Hollywood Hulk Hogan, complete with the black and white attire.
Hulk Hogan was suspended from WWE for a long time due to him using racial slurs in a sex tape and admitting that he is “racist to a point.”
While he did make his appearance at WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, he hasn’t been mentioned by WWE ever since and has yet to make an appearance in the United States.
The most probable reason for Velveteen dressing like him is because he was in LA and Hollywood is pretty much there. Plus he also loves the glamour and extravagance of Hollywood.
