WWE Reportedly Once Again Interested In UFC Star Paige VanZant

Talks of UFC Star Paige VanZant and a possible future cross-over to a career with WWE have been popping up periodically over the last year, with VanZant herself even discussing the rumors and possibility on numerous occasions.

Earlier this year when asked about a potential WWE career, VanZant said that she would love the opportunity to work with them.

“It’s just another platform for us UFC fighters to make a name for ourselves. I know Ronda is going to do awesome at it, and she’s going to make a name for herself in the WWE.

I’m a fighter first and foremost, but if the opportunity ever came knocking, I’m not one to turn opportunities down. I think it’s an amazing organization, and I’d definitely love to work with them.”

Prior to that she had also spoke to TMZ about whether or not she would be interested in working with the WWE at some point.

“Yes. That is definitely something that I’m interested in. I love the WWE. I think that I would for sure be a good WWE Diva. We’ll see if that opportunity comes. I would definitely go for it, if they come knocking on my door, I’m taking it. I love WWE, I would love it. I have the personality for it. Yeah, when the time is right.”

Paige VanZant was mentioned in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and it was stated that her name has been brought up in WWE once again. It had been previously rumored and reported on that WWE had plans to bring Paige VanZant in for last year’s SummerSlam PPV, however those plans fell through when she ended up taking a UFC fight, which didn’t work with the proposed SummerSlam plan.

The most recent report also noted that Paige VanZant is said to be “popular with the FOX brass”, but that everything is just in the “idea stage” currently.

In a recent interview that VanZant did with MMA Weekly, she continued to speak openly about a potential future career with WWE, however she did note that she is not ready to leave the UFC just yet.

“I’m not ready to leave the UFC just yet. I love being a professional fighter and I still have a long career ahead of me. I also think the WWE is an amazing organization and it’s a very athletic entertainment industry which would suit me. There’s probably a huge potential for a crossover down the line and, of course, I’m a big fan of what they do, so it would be great to be a part of that.”
