Brock Lesnar’s Next WWE Universal Title Defense May Not Happen This Year

At this Sunday’s Survivor Series Pay-Per-View will we get a match between Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan in a non-title champion vs. champion match, but when will we get Brock Lesnar’s first Universal Title defense since winning the title again at Crown Jewel?

While it is not known for certain when Brock Lesnar will defend the Universal Title, what is known however is that Brock Lesnar will not be working next month’s WWE TLC PPV in San Jose, California. With that being the case, it does not appear that Brock will be defending the Universal Title until sometime next year.

In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is noted that the program between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar seems to be up next. With Lesnar reportedly not scheduled for the December 16th WWE TLC Pay-Per-View, and with Braun Strowman’s promo this past Monday on RAW, it seems as though the two are set to clash once again, possible at the Royal Rumble.

It was pointed out however that they were not directly told that the match would happen at the Royal Rumble, Meltzer has claimed to have been told that the direction for Braun Strowman does not include a Universal Title shot at WrestleMania 35.
