REPORT: Drew McIntyre Submitting Kurt Angle Draws A Lot Of Criticism

This week’s Monday Night RAW closed with Kurt Angle submitting to Drew McIntyre with his own patented Ankle Lock. To add to that, he even got his with his own Angle Slam before that, which had upset many fans due to his status as a Hall of Famer.

On  Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed this, where he agreed that it was too much. This is what he said:

“I don’t mind that Drew McIntyre won the match. Quite frankly, Drew McIntyre probably should have won the match.”

“I never would have treated a legend like that. This was f*cking bullsh*t. It’s like it wasn’t — I don’t know. I just feel like a guy like Kurt should at least have some dignity or something like that. They made it so bad. I was like HE didn’t go to Saudi Arabia and he was being punished. Maybe Vince thought that like he was Daniel Bryan or something — it was ridiculous.”

It is still unclear where WWE is going with this, so we will have to wait and see.
