No Truth To Rumors Of Drew McIntyre Possibly Being Added To Universal Title Match At Crown Jewel

With the news last week that Roman Reigns has had a relapse of the leukemia that he was diagnosed with 11 years ago, and that he was relinquishing the WWE Universal Title, changes had to be made to storylines and plans going ahead. One of the changes was to the Universal Title Match at Crown Jewel, which is now just a singles match between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar for the title.

Lots of rumors were circulating following Roman’s announcement that WWE had been contemplating adding Drew McIntyre to the match and once again would be making it a Triple Threat Match for the Universal Title at Crown Jewel. Well those rumors appear to be just that, as we had not heard anything from our sources, and according to a report from our friend Brad Shepard there is no truth to the reports.

Regarding the rumors of Drew McIntyre being added to the Universal Title Match at Crown Jewel Brad said, “There’s no truth to the report that #WWE was considering adding Drew McIntyre to the main event at #WWECrownJewel.”

You can see Brad’s tweet about Crown Jewel and Drew McIntyre below.
