Kane Releases Official Statement Regarding His Participation At WWE Crown Jewel PPV

As we have been reporting WWE has decided to go ahead as planned with their upcoming Crown Jewel PPV event in Saudi Arabia, despite heavy criticism and blowback from the public and even some United States Senators.

WWE Superstar’s John Cena and Daniel Bryan have expressed their displeasure with the event and have reportedly refused to travel with the company and compete at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. With all the heat on WWE for traveling to Saudi Arabia next week, WWE Superstar Kane has issued an official statement regarding his position on the event.

In a statement released to KnoxNews.com, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs (aka Kane) announced that he will indeed honor his commitment to both WWE and Knox County and he will be competing at Crown Jewel on November 2nd.

“Mayor Jacobs is still going to the Crown Jewel event because he made a commitment to not only WWE, but the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation and the first responders of Knoxville and Knox County.”

WWE has agreed to donate $100,000 to the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation in exchange for the rights to use Kane at Crown Jewel. Meaning that if Jacobs was to make a political statement and refuse to participate like Cena & Bryan, Knox County would not receive the money from WWE.
