He is the IWGP Intercontinental Champion over at New Japan Pro Wrestling, which is one of the biggest competitors to WWE. He also teased working for Impact Wrestling. All of this adds up as he confirmed he was not there at Smackdown 1000.
According to Jericho, he was not asked or invited to come to the show, while other talents were.
