Evolution Reunites On SmackDown 1000 And Teases Potential Huge Storyline

As we saw on tonight’s SmackDown 1000, Evolution reunited as Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, and Ric Flair made their appearance on this special milestone episode of SmackDown.

The group made their way down to the ring and addressed the crowd. Triple H said that they brought the group back together which epitomizes “Evolution”, but he was cut off when Flair took the microphone. Flair and cut a vintage promo saying that he was more used to the number 10,000 than 1,000. (Woooo!)

Next on the mic was Randy Orton. Orton says that he was evolution, and then goes on to insult Ric Flair for living off of his daughters achievements, Batista for sitting in makeup chairs, and then Triple H for running a company. Orton then says that he is doing his own thing and is concentrating on himself.

Batista then cuts a promo saying that he is a little bit nervous to get back in the ring, but that he plans to enjoy every second of it, and ignore what Orton had to say. Batista then goes on to say that the last thing he wanted to do was have the mic in hand, but that he had four things he wanted to say to the WWE Universe.

  1. He wanted to be here tonight because it was SmackDown 1000.
  2. Because Washington D.C. is his hometown.
  3. Because of all of the fans – he loves them.
  4. His Evolution stablemates

Batista continues by explaining how special of a stable Evolution was, then he goes on to praise his Orton, Flair, and Triple H. Batista tells FLair to “keep that thing in your pants.. this is a family show,” which got a great reaction from everyone in the ring. However, when Batista finally made his way down the line to address Triple H, he had a very interesting statement for The Game. He tells Triple H, “There is nothing that this man hasn’t done in this business…except beat me!” Triple H then looks at Batista and the two stare at each other before hugging as the segment ended.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes out of this little tease at the end of the Evolution reunion segment between Batista and Triple H. It should be pointed out that rumors had been going around earlier stating that Batista’s return wasn’t just a one off tonight at SmackDown 1000, that there were plans for him to return to action with a larger role with the company.

You can see WWE’s tweet highlighting Batista’s statement for Triple H below.
