Rey Mysterio had signed a new 2-year deal with WWE where he has the option to opt out of re-signing a new deal at the 18-month mark. But from what it seems, he will be starting sooner rather than later.
There were speculations for Rey appearing for Smackdown 1000 for a while now. But now, WWE has finally confirmed the speculations when they announced his return via social media.
As previously reported, there is no confirmation as to which brand Rey will be working on permanently after his appearance at Smackdown 1000. So it could either be on RAW or Smackdown. We will have to wait and see what happens.
