Mick Foley Explains His Role At Hell In A Cell

The Hardcore Legend Mick Foley appeared as a guest on Busted Open Radio to discuss the 20th anniversary of Hell In A Cell. Among other things, he talked about his role as a special guest referee in the Universal Championship match between Braun Strowman and Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

Here is what he said:

“I think having superstars returning is a good thing in doses and in this case, this was in the works well before WWE came to see my [stand-up] special… I had the chance to participate in the 25th anniversary of Raw and I texted Mr McMahon and said, ‘I appreciate it, but I feel like I have something to offer if you can wait until September so I can do something more impactful for the 20th anniversary of Hell In A Cell.’ And so this is a case where I have a definite role.”

We look forward to seeing what transpires in the match.
