More Information Regarding Next Year’s SummerSlam In Toronto – Fan Fest To be Announced, And More
As we reported previously and then was announced by WWE weeks later, next year’s SummerSlam PPV will be coming to Toronto and the Scotiabank Arena.
On last night’s episode of Barn Burner’s No Hold Barred Podcast, I joined Joseph Peisich on the show and the topic of the 2019 SummerSlam came up. Joseph revealed that WWE will be feeling out the market for a future WrestleMania by holding a special SummerSlam 2019 Axxess style fan festival leading up to the weekends events.
Regarding the SummerSlam “fan fest”, Peisich said:
“I don’t know if anybody has reported this you know SummerSlam is coming to Toronto. August 10th for NXT, August 11th SummerSlam, August 12th Raw, August 13th SmackDown. But they will have a fan festival sort of a fan Axxess from what I hear Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre.”
“If it goes well they are going to take that as sort of a stepping stone to get WrestleMania,”
