WWE Returns To Saudi Arabia Days Removed From Evolution PPV

WWE held The Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia back in April of this year, and as expected there was some controversy surrounding the event.

None of the female Superstars on the roster were allowed to perform or make the trip, due to the country’s stance on women in their culture. It was also reported that WWE left Sami Zayn off the card due to his Syrian heritage.

Well it appears WWE is heading back to Saudi Arabia later this year for another supershow event. It was reported earlier via the Wrestling Observer that WWE was planning on returning to Saudi Arabia on November 2nd. After speaking with Joseph Peisich at Barn Burner, we can confirm that WWE is indeed set to hold another event in Saudi Arabia on November 2nd, 2018.

It should be noted that this event falls incredibly close to the previously announced first-ever all women’s pay-per-view Evolution, which takes place on October 28th. With WWE not allowing their female talents to make the trip previously to Saudi Arabia it would be expected that this would be the case again for the company’s return trip.

It has been said that the scheduling of these two events so close to each other is not a coincidence.
