Update On The Real Reason WWE Cancelled Elias’ NYC Concert SummerSlam Weekend

WWE had been advertising a concert in New York City prior to SummerSlam featuring Elias, but without reason the concert was cancelled. No explanation was given at the time, leaving many with unanswered questions.

Elias did however show up at SummerSlam on Sunday to perform a song, but as usual there was hitch in the plan as his guitar broke, and Elias left the arena without playing.

On the latest episode of Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred podcast, and our friend Brad Shepard reported that there was indeed a reason WWE cancelled Elias’ concert over the weekend, and that reason was because of extremely low ticket sales. Brad added that WWE did not want to put on an event with only a halfway sold-out crowd.

Regarding Elias’ cancelled NYC concert SummerSlam weekend, Brad said:

“I did get confirmation this week that Elias’ concert which was going to be its own separate event and was moved to SummerSlam was indeed canceled due to low ticket sales.”
