Next Year’s SummerSlam PPV Potentially Being Held In Former Home Of Previous WrestleManias

As as been reported over the last couple weeks, it is believed that WWE plans to name Toronto as the host city for next year’s SummerSlam PPV when the company is in town for RAW in the soon.

There has been debate however as to which venue would be the home of the 2019 SummerSlam if WWE did decide to bring the event there next year. The topic was discussed on the latest episode of Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred podcast, and Joseph Peisich commented on the announcement.

“It may be held at formerly SkyDome now Rogers Centre. If that is true, look for 65,000 next year at SummerSlam.”

The Rogers Centre, formerly known as the Skydome has been a pretty historic venue in WWE’s past. The venue was home to both WrestleMania 6 & 18, with the first featuring Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior and the latter seeing Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding SummerSlam 2019.
