Top International Talent Not Signed To WWE Contract Due To Existing Injury

It was reported back in March that lucha stars Ultimo Ninja and Garza Jr. were rumored to have been WWE contracts and were undergoing medical testing before reporting to the WWE Performance Center. It now appears as though something has changed as only one of the two Lucha Superstars has reported to the WWE Performance Center.

In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter it was noted that Ultimo Ninja has been in Orlando and is ready to begin training at the WWE Performance Center. The report also added that Garza Jr. is not in Orlando at the Performance Center, as had been expected that he would be reporting along with Ultimo Ninja.

It was expected that Garza Jr. was to report to the Performance Center already, but that he had some worries about his shoulder possibly not being up to par during his recent WWE medical exams. Dave Meltzer reported that his sources in WWE said that “they didn’t think he was coming in.” This would indicate that Garza Jr.’s concerns were accurate.

It has also been reported that Garza Jr. has been telling promoters that he’s not going to be wrestling for the next four to six months. However, he is still going to be doing appearances and signings during that time.

Garza Jr. will also be working as a special guest referee for an upcoming Crash Luchas event.
