Exclusive Update Regarding Details Of Matt Riddle Signing With WWE

As we reported last week, top independent wrestling star Matt Riddle has signed a contract with WWE, after reports began to come out that Riddle had pulled out of numerous bookings around the time of SummerSlam. Another indication that Riddle is WWE bound was the fact that Matt Riddle’s online store closed last week, which is a good sign that his debut is imminent.

CZW at one point last weekend had even used Riddle’s signing with WWE as a promotional tool, telling fans not to miss out on their upcoming event which featured Riddle as this would be one of the last chances to see Riddle wrestle before he reports to WWE.

After speaking with a source associated with Riddle, it was confirmed to me that Matt Riddle has indeed signed a deal with WWE.

The deal is said to be for three years, which is standard for most new signee’s. Riddle is also said to be debuting at NXT TakeOver the night before SummerSlam and will be featured in the crowd as the company’s newest addition to the roster. It was also told to me that the company plans to feature Riddle as one of their top stars immediately, similar to what they did with Adam Cole in NXT.
