Reason Why Brian Christopher Was Still In Jail For His DUI Arrest Three Weeks Ago

As we have been reporting today, Jerry Lawler’s son, former WWE Superstar Brian Christopher Lawler has passed away at the age of 46 after hanging himself Saturday night at the Hardeman County Jail in Tennessee.

He was arrested almost three weeks ago after leading police on a chase when he failed to stop after being told to pull over, he was arrested for DUI and an open container was found inside the vehicle.

Dave Meltzer discussed the news of Brian Christopher’s passing on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio. During the discussion of the incident Meltzer reported on the reason why Brian Christopher was in jail still for a DUI arrest three weeks ago. He also touched on the reason why Jerry Lawler hadn’t helped post the $40,000 bail to get his son out of jail.

Regarding the incident, Meltzer said:

“Jerry has been doing stuff to get him out of things and just felt that he needed to learn and wasn’t going to get him out this time. I can just imagine — think about that. Jerry’s good with grief. He’s a unique person in things like that. But still, can you imagine when you have a kid? And he did what he thought was the right thing. He’s 46-years-old he should have grown up a long time ago. You can’t keep bailing him out of his trouble. But now it’s so sad. Brian couldn’t handle it in prison so he hung himself today.”
