There have been reports and rumors regarding the signing of Rey Mysterio to a new WWE contract for some time now. There had been reports circulating earlier in the week even stated that Mysterio had signed, but those reports appear to be inaccurate.
Rey Mysterio’s WWE status was discussed in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and Dave Meltzer is reporting that as of now Mysterio has not signed a WWE contract.
Regarding Rey Mysterio’s current WWE status, Meltzer said:
“It should be noted that we haven’t heard Mysterio has signed, but the reports of his signing at least as of last week were premature. As noted, we do expect that he will sign at some point.”
