Raw Recap For July 2nd, 2018

(Segment 1) Roman Reigns Kicks Off Raw: Roman kicked off Raw in Sioux Falls with him talking about how he doesn’t like Lashley and wants fight him, not tag with him. Dolph and Drew come out and beat up Roman, Rollins then came out to help Reigns. This set up Roman and Seth vs Dolph and Drew later in the night.

(Segment 2) Matt Hardy vs Curtis Axel: This match was a time killer and didn’t really add much to the show. Axel ended up pinning Hardy. B-Team definitely has the momentum going into their Raw Tag Title Match at Extreme Rules.

(Segment 3) Sasha and Bayley Go To Counseling: Short segment that we’ll see more of later. Just showed them starting counseling.

(Segment 4) AOP vs Titus Worldwide: AOP squashed Titus Worldwide and wasn’t really much of a match. Didn’t add anything to the night.

(Segment 5) Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler and Drew Mcintyre: This match was the first of the two matches for Roman tonight. This match was slow paced with Roman and Drew in there but picked up when Ziggler and Seth got in there. It ended in DQ after the Revival beat up Roman and Seth.

(Segment 6) Corbin Talks To Balor: Corbin invites Balor out asking for an apology. Corbin ends up punching Balor in the face. Balor fights back and sends Corbin packing.

(Segment 7) Ember Moon vs Liv Morgan: This match was out of the blue and doesn’t really have a background story. Ember Moon got the win getting momentum while trying to get into the women’s title picture.

(Segment 8) Revival vs Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns: This match has been repeated a lot and isn’t fun to watch. We all know this match wouldn’t end good because of the heat between Lashley and Reigns. They have split the previous two matches between these teams. This is a slower paced match and doesn’t have that one superstar to up the pace like Balor, Rollins, Ziggler, or Dean. Match ends in DQ as the Revival won’t stop beating up Roman Reigns. Lashley walks away and doesn’t help Roman.

(Segment 9) Mickie James vs Nia Jax: I don’t expect too much from this match and will just be a time killer to set up the main event. This match and segment will be dragged out to fill time. Nia pins Mickie after a Samoan Drop.

(Segment 10) Kevin Owens vs Braun Strowman:  I like the comedy between these two and they also put on good matches. This match didn’t get a lot of time though which hurt it a lot. This match ends in DQ within the first minute after KO runs out of the arena. Braun chases after him after he wins the match. Raw ended with Braun trapping Owens in a portable toilet and pushing it off the stage.

Overall Raw Grade: C-
