Big Changes Coming For Future NXT TakeOver Events

As has been reported over the last week it appears that NXT is headed to FS1 as part of WWE’s deal with FOX/FOX Sports, we are just waiting for the official announcement.

It also appears that changes are in store for NXT TakeOver’s as well. On the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer commented on the latest change for NXT TakeOver. It is not known exactly when the changes will go into effect, but it is expected that some changes will occur by the TakeOver before Survivor Series.

“So WWE NXT is going to be starting an hour earlier. I don’t know if the next TakeOver, the Brooklyn show I don’t know that Brooklyn is starting earlier. I’ll try to get that confirmed in the next couple of days. But I know the Los Angeles show is starting 1 hour earlier, 7 o’clock eastern which is 4 o’clock local time.”

“The idea is the shows will be under 3 hours that they will be over at 10. Usually, these shows are under 2 1/2 hours. The idea is not to lengthen the shows but based on the history of the changes in WWE that weren’t supposed to lengthen the shows and did lengthen the shows I think it’s probably going to end up the same thing.”

It was also noted that this is probably just the beginning and that way more changes are more than likely coming down the line.
