Renee Young made her commentary debut on NXT back in September of 2013 and started on color commentary for women’s matches before becoming full time color commentator. In 2014, Young became the first full-time female announcer in over a decade when she worked as color commentator on WWE Superstars with Tom Phillips.
News previously came out that WWE is looking at possibly bringing a female on commentary.
Renee stated on her official Twitter page that she would be open to a return to the commentary table.
