As was reported earlier today, WWE has medically cleared Daniel Bryan to return to in-ring competition, and is rumored to have a role at WrestleMania 34.
Dave Meltzer discussed Daniel Bryan’s medical clearance on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live. Here are a few notes from the discussion:
– Daniel Bryan approached and asked Dr. Maroon and asked him what he needed to do to be cleared. Bryan was given a list of doctors to see in order to get approved, from Dr. Maroon.
– University of Michigan doctors cleared Daniel Bryan about a month ago.
– In the past month, Daniel Bryan has visited two additional doctors for clearance.
– Bryan wasn’t cleared today. Meltzer said that he heard the word going around backstage at RAW was that Bryan was cleared. So it is very possible that Bryan was cleared early in the day on Monday.
– Bryan is cleared to wrestle as much as he wants, or as much that WWE needs him to wrestle.
– The plan is for Daniel Bryan to team with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 34.
