SmackDown LIVE Taping Attendance Continues To Struggle Despite Best Crowd Of Year

It has been reported that attendance has been poor lately for WWE Live Events and PPV’s, which was a big factor in the company decided to eliminate brand exclusive pay-per-views and return to dual-branded shows.

While last night’s attendance for SmackDown LIVE from the Staples Center in Los Angeles was one of the better gates the company has had this year, the event was still not sold out.

Fans in attendance pointed out that the entire upper level was tarped off forcing fans to fill the lower bowl and floor to help fill seats for television cameras.

Below is a crowd photo that was taken shortly after the show hit the air:

One fan posted a video showing the entire upper level tarped off, you can see the video below:

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin also noted the struggling crowd for the SmackDown LIVE tapings, noting that the majority of the crowd left following SmackDown leaving a small crowd behind for the 205 Live taping.

It has been reported last week that WWE officials are aware of the problems facing SmackDown LIVE.
