DDP Responds To TMZ Report About Jay-Z Trying To Gain Rights To Diamond Hand Sign

TMZ reported over the weekend that rapper Jay-Z is officially applying for trademarks to the Diamond hand sign, which he has been using for years in reference to his company Roc-A-Fella.

The reported went on to say that Jay-Z applied for a trademark to use the diamond hand sign in a variety of entertainment services in either music, video, TV or film.

However, TMZ continued their report by noting that Jay was sued over the symbol in 2005 by Diamond Dallas Page, but the case was settled out of court. They continued by saying that it didn’t look like DDP ever trademarked it for himself.

DDP took to twitter the other day to set the record straight. DDP posted photo evidence that is contrary to TMZ’s report. DDP included images proving that he did in fact file for and own trademark rights to the Diamond Hand Sign.
