Chris Jericho Appears At NJPW’S New Years Dash Attacking Tetsuya Naito

It appears as though Chris Jericho will be sticking around with NJPW for a little while longer.

During the final moments of Friday’s NJPW New Year Dash, an annual show that takes place the day after Wrestle Kingdom, Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance following the conclusion of the main event. Jericho came out and attacked Tetsuya Naito from behind. The two brawled inside the ring and were eventually pulled apart by the young lions, members of the roster, and NJPW officials.

You can see the footage of Jericho’s attack on Naito below:

The most likely scenario for the Jericho vs. Naito match-up would probably be as the headliner for NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved show in California on March 25th, the week before WrestleMania.

Tetsuya Naito is scheduled for multiple appearances over the next couple months in the United States for multiple independent organizations. While Fozzy will be in the middle of a domestic tour over the next few months, seemingly limiting Jericho’s availability. However it should be noted that Fozzy has a very convenient 11-day break scheduled that would give Jericho enough time to prepare for the match with Naito and be back on the road for the band’s next show on 3/27.

We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
