In an announcement made Monday, it was was revealed that John Cena would be one of the thirty men entering the 2018 Royal Rumble match later this month.
The twitter account @WrestleVotes, which has been responsible for breaking several stories recently, is now reporting that WWE Superstar John Cena will in fact not be winning the 2018 Royal Rumble and getting the opportunity to challenge for either the WWE or Universal Titles. It had been rumored that Cena might be winning the Rumble, and going on to break Ric Flair’s championship record, but that appears not to be the case.
The tweet stated, “I’ve heard Cena winning the Rumble isn’t likely now as his “big” matchup doesn’t involve either title. So we can finally shut down those John Cena vs Jinder Mahal WrestleMania rumors.”
