Talks Between WWE and Neville Breakdown – Will Not Be Returning To Company

PWInsider is reporting that talks between WWE and Neville have broken down, and that the superstar will not be returning to WWE.

As was earlier reported Neville walked out on WWE following learning he was dropping the cruiserweight title to Enzo Amore. Neville was frustrated with his position in the company, and with the direction of the cruiserweight division. Also adding to Neville’s unhappiness with the company was his pre-show match with Austin Aries at WrestleMania 33 was left of the blu ray release costing him one of his biggest annual royalties. Factor in a meaningless title loss to Akira Tozawa prior to SummerSlam had caused Neville to reach his breaking point.

There had recently been reports from PWInsider that talks between Neville and WWE had picked up and were heading in a positive direction. However the plan was to have Neville appear on the European Tour for SmackDown Live Events in November, which obviously didn’t happen.

It’s believed that Neville feels he is not just a featured piece, and deserves a top level push. He disagreed with the direction WWE was taking his character, and as of now any plans of a return have fallen through.

More on this story as it develops.
